Rupert's Snack Time is a forty-five second reaction game on Rupert the frog's pond. He sits on the big lily pad in the middle and bugs land on the eight pads round him: beetles, ladybugs, wasps and now and then a golden fly. Tap a bug and his tongue shoots out and snaps it up before it flies off. They come quicker as the clock runs down. Sometimes a hedgehog drifts by on a pad: it is prickly, so leave it alone.

Tips

Rest your eyes on Rupert in the middle rather than chasing each bug. From there you can see all eight pads at once.
Keep a run going. From the fifth bug in a row without letting one fly off, every bug counts double, golden flies included.
A bug that flies off ends your run, so a sure snap at the nearest one is often worth more than a stretch for a far one.
Golden flies are worth three, or six on a run. When a golden fly and a beetle land together, take the fly first.
Leave the hedgehog alone. Tapping it costs two points and your run, and letting it drift away costs nothing.
The bugs come quicker all the way to the end, so the last stretch is where the most chances are.
