Tower
EveryoneAbout Tower
A crane swings a load over your tower. Tap to let go. Land it square and it snaps home; land it crooked and real physics does the rest. Eight places with eight towers each: a harbour at dawn, a rail yard, a desert dig, a windy mountain station, a river barge that rocks, a neon city, a storm coast and an orbital yard in low gravity. Put a roof on last, land arches on both feet, wait out gusts you can see coming, chase a crane that rolls along its track and race the clock. Timber, stone, brick, steel, glass and ice, a Helper for younger builders, and an endless tower that climbs into the night.
Tower is a stacking game with real physics. A crane swings a load over your tower and you tap to let it go: land it square and it snaps home, land it crooked and the tower starts to lean. There are eight places with eight towers each, from a harbour at dawn to a rail yard, a rocking river barge, a windy mountain station and an orbital yard in low gravity, plus an endless tower that climbs into the night.
Tips
- Let go a touch early. The load keeps some of the crane's swing as it falls, so it lands a little further along than where you dropped it.
- Go for perfect drops. A load that lands very close to dead centre snaps square, and perfect drops in a row score more each time.
- When the load swings on its cable, drop it at the bottom of the swing, where it is moving least sideways.
- On the flatcar and the barge, drop for where the deck will be, not where it is. On the barge, wait for the deck to come level.
- Glass and ice barely grip. With those, only a square landing will stay, so wait for a good moment rather than dropping on the first pass.
- Keep it straight on the Storm Coast. When you reach the goal a storm blows, and a neat tower rides it out while one that leans does not.
Questions
- Is it free?
- Yes. Tower plays in your browser with no download and no account needed.
- How do I play?
- Tap anywhere on the building site, or press space, to drop the swinging load. That is the only control.
- How are the stars decided?
- Reach the goal for one star, do it without losing a piece for two, and do that with at least half your drops landing perfectly square for three.
- How do I lose a level?
- Three pieces falling off ends it, and so does running out of pieces before the goal. On the Storm Coast the tower also has to stand through the storm after the goal.
- What is the endless tower?
- One tower with no goal: build until three pieces fall. The crane gets quicker as you climb, the load starts to swing after a dozen floors and wind joins after twenty. It is open from the start, from the button on the map.
- Is there a leaderboard?
- Yes. Your endless tower score goes on the leaderboard. Each floor scores a point, and perfect drops add more.
