Minesweeper
About Minesweeper
Every number tells you how many mines touch it. Open the safe cells, flag the rest, and never guess. A new field every day, the same for everyone.
Minesweeper is a logic puzzle about a field of hidden mines. Each number you uncover tells you how many mines touch that square, and from those numbers you work out which squares are safe. On twzl the first area is opened for you, so you never lose on the first tap.
Tips
- A 1 with only one hidden neighbour means that neighbour is a mine. Flag it, then see what that tells the numbers around it.
- When a number already has all its mines flagged, every other square around it is safe to open.
- Look for the 1-2-1 pattern along a wall: the mines sit under the 1s, and the square under the 2 is safe.
- Work along the edge of the open area rather than jumping around the board.
- Switch to Flag mode to mark mines, then back to Dig. Flags are there to help you think, not just to count.
