About FreeCell

The patience game with nothing hidden. All 52 cards are dealt face up in eight columns; four free cells give you room to work. Build each suit home from ace to king. One deal a day, the same for everyone and checked winnable before it is dealt, so the leaderboard is pure skill and speed.

FreeCell is the solitaire with nothing hidden. All 52 cards are dealt face up in eight columns, and four free cells give you room to work. Every daily deal on twzl is checked winnable before it is dealt, so a loss is always a puzzle you can still solve.

Tips

  • Look at the whole deal before your first move. Find the aces and the cards sitting on top of them.
  • Keep free cells empty as long as you can. Each empty cell lets you move a longer run of cards at once.
  • An empty column is worth more than a free cell. Clearing a short column early pays off.
  • Get the low cards home early. Aces and twos buried at the bottom of a column are the usual reason a deal stalls.
  • Undo as often as you like. Trying a line and taking it back is part of how the game is played.
